Elizabeth Gerdeman is a visual artist from Columbus, Ohio currently based in Germany. Her artistic approach is multidisciplinary. She creates minimal and abstract mixed-media paintings, collages, digital videos and installations. Her practice revolves around imagery of landscape and architecture, and how this influences the contemporary value of nature and home. Through her work, she ultimately wants to explore how we connect and are tied to our environments. Elizabeth is also an educator, having taught and lectured at art institutions and universities in the USA and Europe since 2007. Since 2015, she is a lecturer at the Academy of Fine Arts in Leipzig.
